Something to note when making this dish is that it is best served with white rice and not brown. As a result, this dish calls for white rice. As a result, this recipe called for a minimum of 12 minutes of cooking time for instant pot teriyaki.

Ingredients
  

STEP: 1 For Sauce

  • 1 tbsp. Sesame Oil
  • 4 Cloves Garlic diced
  • 2 Inch Ginger
  • 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. Cane Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 Cups Water

STEP: 2

  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 1 tbsp. Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Cup Long Grain Rice washed and drained
  • 4 Cups Cabbage shredded
  • 1 Cup Tomatoes diced
  • 1 Cup Green Peas
  • 1 Cup Carrot diced
  • 1 tbsp. Green Chilies diced
  • 1 lb. Firm Tofu
  • 1 Cup Yellow Onion sliced
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh Flat Leaf Parsley diced
  • 1/4 Cup Red Bell Pepper diced

STEP: 3 (Guacamole)

  • 1 tbsp. Extra-virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Raw Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Red Onion diced
  • 1 Cup Cilantro diced
  • 1 Cup Tomatoes diced
  • 1 Clove Garlic minced
  • 1 Avocado mashed

Instructions
 

  • Let's prepare the following ingredients: Sesame oil, diced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame seeds, cayenne pepper, cane sugar, ground black pepper, salt, water, bay leaves, cumin seeds, washed and drained long grain rice, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, green peas, diced carrot, diced green chilies, washed firm tofu, sliced yellow onion, diced flat leaf parsley, and diced red bell pepper.
  • In a bowl add the following ingredients sesame oil, diced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame seeds, cayenne pepper, cane sugar, ground black pepper, salt, water and mix well.
  • In a casserole pot add the following ingredients bay leaves, cumin seeds, washed and drained long grain rice, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, green peas, diced carrot, diced green chilies, washed firm tofu, sliced yellow onion, diced flat leaf parsley, diced red bell pepper and pour the step 1 mixture and bake in a oven at 380F/190C for 35 minutes or cook in a one pot with rice settings for 12 minutes.

STEP: 3 (Guacamole)

  • In a mixing bowl, add following ingredients extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, honey, ground cumin, cayenne pepper ,ground black pepper, salt and mix well.
    In the same bowl diced red onion, diced cilantro, diced tomatoes, minced diced garlic, mashed avocado and mix until combined well,

STEP: 4

  • Add 1 cup of step 2 vegetable rice. Add 2 cup of step 2 tofu. Add 2 tablespoons of step 3 guacamole. Serve immediately in a bowl with the choice of drinks.
